Forensics

No, Forensics is not only about investigating crime scenes.

 

Students in this activity select, memorize, and perform dramatic or comedic pieces in preparation for the Union City Forensics Tournament held each spring. Participants compete in one of five categories: Dramatic Interpretation, Oral Interpretation, Duo Interpretation, Original Oratory, or Declamation.

Through this experience, students build confidence, strengthen public speaking skills, enhance critical thinking, and develop poise, teamwork, and effective communication. Awards are presented in each category, making the competition both exciting and rewarding.

Over the years, Sara M. Gilmore Academy students have demonstrated dedication, talent, and continued success at the tournament.
